They did a piece on Peugeots. Even had a 505.

I will be hunting the interwebs today to see this. What did they say about the 505?

Not much but good things. They talked about the 504 for a bit. Said it went places no Range Rover could go without falling apart.

it is the truth. You need to see the suspension of a 504 estate to know how rugged it is. Awesome

Impressive.

It made me want a 504 Estate all that much more. Heck, I met a guy with one last week - 400,000 kilometers and still on the original engine. Rugged, handsome car.

Split-case diff like a 40s truck with six-lug wheels on what looks like uneven spacing. Must be France...

It's so weird that the double coil spring doesn't even bear mentioning.
![]() 02/23/2015 at 09:33 |

Weird, yes, but not *distinctly French*, and I've been desensitized recently.

Yeah. That'll do it.

I shortened the lower control arms for mine over the weekend to fit the Ranchero, but I haven't gotten the driveshafts shortened yet and I'm not done monkeying with the spring connection points to accommodate. Making a 61" wide setup fit in a space for 55" is somewhat tricky.
